There is truth to the saying that life begins at 40. This is the stage when you have nothing left to prove and the world, in general, becomes your playground. So embrace life with the wonder of a child, the curiosity of a teen, the risk tolerance of an early adult, and the dignified control of one seasoned by time. Have the best time of your life!

Nearing 40s, I can nonchalantly say that it just a number. Well to be truthful about it, I feel a sense of angst due to uncertainties. But oops, aren’t we all in the same boat?

Breathe and relax.

In the time of coronavirus pandemic, we all have this reawakening episodes. Nah, nothing new. We all know what these things are, they are supposed taught to us in the early years of our life before algebra, biology, and the Renaissance period. Yet for a number of reasons they get toppled down from other priorities in life, which aren’t so important by the way. We also got blinded with the sparkling consumerism and lost touch of real human connection. We forget simple things that give real meaning….our time management becomes a thief that steal our moments to stop for a while and celebrate a joyous moment, while we are in the middle of the chaos of our lives.

A friend of mine has requested me to a part of her special project, not naming or tagging her for now. I don’t want to be a spoiler. Her request is just in time for this article. My full version as below.

Moving forward, I will continue to embrace the simplicity of life, nurture worthy relationships, be conscious of the daily graces, pay forward kindness, and love life more! My spiritual relationship will always be a pillar in my life. And lastly, I will continue to venture places, learn more about culture, history, art, and enjoy the wonders of the world!

Wow! Are you also a Virgo? (i don;t know if you believe zodiac signs). Most of my friends are born in August and September. I just felt after reaching 35 yrs life is like double fast forward. LOL. But so far I’m happy, there are always highs and lows. šŸ˜‰

Love this! Loved the advice of “Explore what you missed trying because you were afraid before” – I always wonder how different our lives would be if we’d said yes to those scary questions and opportunities! So important to make the most of every day and live it to the fullest! X

Try to play with the cards you’re dealt with. Can’t say stress levels won’t get in the way but life is beautiful. It is not beautiful because it’s always rainbows and butterflies but because there is pain and sadness, darkness and light, a loss and a gain, realizations and dismay and the of course the nice thoughts and memories that keeps you going for days on end. Also, as long as you know your core values, you are open to learn, unlearn and relearn, I think you’ll be fine. If it’s something that’s not good, it will end. If it’s a good thing but has to come to an end, be grateful it happened.

Breathe. That’s what keeps me going now in this crazy times and of course, my faith.

Thank you, Fe for this heartfelt message. You nailed it right there. Indeed life is bittersweet. Sometimes we have to go through pains in order to grow and see things more clearly. Hence we should never give up, I am the person who keeps on going no matter what. And yes, faith does miracle, helping us to get through. Sending you my virtual hug. Love lots! šŸ˜‰

The number one advice I’m taking – moisturize šŸ™‚

Yehey! Cheers! Yes I started moisturizing for quite sometime and it really helps. Also the use of toners and weekly facials. I do my facials at home all the time. šŸ˜‰

What a fun collaboration post! It’s cool to see ideas and advice from all different walks of life. I’m going to be hitting 35 next month, so I think I can relate! I like the advice of doing the things now that you were too afraid to do before. I think my goal before 40 is to start living the life I want now. There is no guarantee that we will be able to retire. We shouldn’t wait to travel and explore. Do it now! Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Thanks for this!

A truly big YES to your goals! If you can do it now, then why wait for tomorrow. Let’s embrace life and don’t sweat the small stuffs. Thank you for the warm feedback. šŸ˜‰

Wow what an inspirational post. To all you ladies turning 40 or coming up on 40, embrace it.
I am turning 50 next year and I can honestly say my 40ā€™s have been full of adventure, life changing challenges and decisions. I think for me, I have completely focuses on doing things that make me happy. Not worrying about the extra weight or grey hair popping in. Just honestly trying to live one day at a time and not focus on what my age actually is. It really is only a number. Great job, I loved it.

Thank you Coralie for this wonderful affirmation. I don’t mind grey hair too. Take care always and all the best of your health with lots of love surrounding you. šŸ˜‰

Pay attention to healthy living before its too late! I love reading this and thanks for sharing this Vinn! So perfect for me as I am 38.

Love this post, Vinn, there are some absolute gems in here. I’m not sure what my advice would be that’s any different except that if opportunity knocks, say yes and figure out how later. If you keep saying no, opportunity will stop knocking! šŸ™‚

That’s great advice Lisa, thank you. We should not restrict ourselves to accept opportunities because of how we feel about our age! Life is to be lived by moments, and if something opens this is something good. Whatever the outcome of the experience or decision, simply tells us the meaning of life! Carpe Diem!
